  4. Hb A1c (glycated hemoglobin)
    No fasting required. The hemoglobin A1c test tells you the average level of blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months. Blood HbA1c levels are reflective of how well diabetes is controlled.

    Cervical cancer is preventable and detectable at pre-cancerous stage. Conventional Pap smear is the screening method practiced in Sri Lanka. Target group for Pap smear test Any woman over 30 years of age who is / has been sexually active (To be repeated every three years -unless advised by the Doctor) Preparation Samples cannot be collected during menstruation (menses, bleeding, on periods) Avoid vaginal intercourse, douching, use of tampons, use of medicinal vaginal cream or contraceptive cream for 24-48 hrs prior to cervical screening.
